Brown Outflops, Busts One

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We found David Brown all in with {q-Spades}{j-Spades} on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} against a shorter-stacked player who held {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a gutshot and an overcard. The turn was a {j-Clubs}, and the river a {3-Spades}, and Brown is nearing 100,000 after scoring the elimination.

Brown showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a straight, while Cates had {a-}{a-} for a set.

McMillan Takes From Gamino; Vang Busted

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Three players checked to Aaron Gamino, who bet 3,000 on a {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. Only small blind John McMillan called, and he called another 5,100 on the {9-Hearts} turn. Both players checked the end after the {5-Diamonds} river, and McMillan showed {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for nines and sixes. Gamino couldn't beat it.

At another table, Kou Vang busted his first bullet in a hand we didn't see.

Tran Isolates, Eliminates One

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player was already all in on a board of {4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} when Henry Tran shoved for approximately 26,000. A third player in the pot went into the tank before ultimately folding.

"Pair of jacks," announced the all-in player, turning {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

It was no good, however, as Tran had {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a turned set and a lock hand.

Will Goes With a Slowplay

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

After an early-position open and a button call, Jim Will made it 2,600 to go from the small blind. Both players called, and the flop came {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Action checked to the player on the button, who bet 3,000. Will called, and the third player folded. Both remaining players checked the {2-Clubs} turn, seeing a {k-Hearts} river. Will bet 3,000, and his opponent snap-called.

Will turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for queen full, while his opponent showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for top two.
