Andrew Rubinberg Eliminated in 11th Place ($4,762)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Andrew Rubinberg
Andrew Rubinberg

Ryan Perez has had a huge upswing over the last hour. On this hand he opened for 65,000 and Andrew Rubinberg shoved his 450,000 stack all in.

Perez snap called and had pocket aces again, {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Rubinberg couldn't believe it and turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, thinking he had the better hand.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and sent Rubinberg home and the remaining players to the final table.

Joseph Miller (12th) and Xao Yang (13th)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
  • Apologies to Xao Yang, and those following him at home. For the last hour or so his chip count was being entered another player's name. Hopefully that wasn't a jinx, but shortly after the correction, Yang was eliminated and took 13th place for a pay out of $3,398.
  • Joseph Miller was eliminated shortly after running pocket kings into aces and doubling Ryan Perez up. He took 12th place and a payout of $4,762.

Perez Doubles Through Miller, Breaks 1-Million

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Perez and Joseph Miller got all in preflop with pocket aces versus pocket kings. Perez was the lucky player holding {a-}{a-} and Miller was the one stuck with {k-}{k-}.

He couldn't catch up and Perez now has 1.2-million, leaving him and the player to his left, John Kurfman, both with over one-million.

  • Andrew Rubinberg knocked out James Casement in a three-way pot. Rubinberg and Kurfman checked it down with Casement all in. Rubinberg won the hand with {a-}{q-} and is now over 700,000.
  • Kurfman knocked out Rzentkowski when he was all in against him heads up. Kurfman had {k-}{q-} and Rzentkowski had {6-}{6-}. Kurfman is now at 1.3-million and overtakes Gerald Heckathorn as chip leader. Heckathorn lost some steam after he doubled two players up in a short period.

John Hayes and Gerald Heckathorn just played a big pot. At the end of the hand, Hayes would double up after Heckathorn missed his flush draw.

The board read {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and Hayes led out for 80,000. Heckathorn shoved all in for more than one-million chips and Hayes called. Hayes had top pair, top kicker with {a-}{k-} and Heckathorn had the nut flush draw with {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Hayes held and doubled up.
