Konarske Doubles in Fun Fashion

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 20,000 ante

Benjamin Guzman was in the small blind and opened to 225,000 upon action folding to him. Eddy Konarsky three-bet all in from the big blind for 2.9 million and Guzman quickly called.

Eddy Konarske: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Benjamin Guzman: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Konarske was in trouble but the flop {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} changed the tides with a flopped wheel. He wasn't in the clear yet, though, as the turn came {j-Spades} to give Guzman a set and pick up 10 outs to the redraw. Fortunately for Konarske, the river {8-Diamonds} made it all worth the sweat as he scored the double to get to just under 6 million.

Matthew Frisch Eliminated in 12th Place; Behrouz Keshtavar Eliminated in 11th Place ($4,565)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 20,000 ante
Matthew Frisch
Matthew Frisch

Matthew Frisch went all in on the button and received a call from Erasmus Morfe in the small blind.

Matthew Frisch: {q-}{10-}
Erasmus Morfe: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Frisch hit a queen on the flop but Morfe found three hearts on the board by the river to give him the nut flush and send Frisch home in 12th place.

Moments later, Behrouz Keshtavar got all in from the big blind in a blind-on-blind situation against Noel Diaz.

Behrouz Keshtavar: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Noel Diaz: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Keshtavar was drawing dead by the turn as the board ran out {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. He graciously wished the table good luck and made his way to the payout desk moments after Frisch.

Alex Montoya Eliminated in 13th Place ($3,587)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 20,000 ante
Alex Montoya
Alex Montoya

Alex Montoya saw action folded to him on the button and went all in for his last 180,000. Both Stuart Brown in the small blind and Ethan Lehrburger in the big blind called.

Action checked to the turn on a board of {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Brown bet 200,000. Lehrburger folded and hands were tabled.

Alex Montoya: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Stuart Brown: {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Brown's flopped pair of tens was out in front and held as the river came {3-Spades} to spell elimination for Montoya in 13th place.

"Sick! Gross!"

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 20,000 ante

Ethan Lehrburger went all in for 1.255 million in middle position and action folded to Alex Montoya in the big blind, who quickly called.

Ethan Lehrburger: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Alex Montoya: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Lehrburger let out a sigh and stood up, visibly concerned about the situation he found himself in for his tournament life. However, the flop {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} gave him top two pair and put him in commanding shape for the double. He needed to fade one of the remaining three queens in the deck until the turn {8-Clubs} came to give him a full house.

"Sick!" said Lehrburger, feeling dirty about the situation. The river came {2-Clubs} to complete the runout.

"Gross!" he added in a sincere manner as the dealer counted his stack to be paid for his double.

Meanwhile, Montoya has been left with crumbs and is now the one in need of help.

Danny Pham: {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Erasmus Morfe: {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The two had a decent chance of a chop until the flop came {5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The turn came {3-Hearts} and the river fell {2-Spades} to give Morfe a wheel. Stacks were counted and Pham had 580,000. Morfe had over 600,000 and earned the knockout as a result.
