Shorr Calls Gilreath's River Bet

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Action was heads up with nearly 40,000 in the pot and {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades} on the board when Shannon Shorr bet 20,000 from the small blind and Philip Gilreath called from middle position.

The river was {q-Hearts} and Shorr checked and then went deep into the tank when Gilreath bet 9,000. After several moments of contemplation, Shorr reluctantly tossed out 9,000 and Gilreath turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the straight. Shorr shook his head and tossed the losing hand in the muck.
