Greenwood Avoids Disaster with a Wise River Check Back

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Sam Greenwood opened to 4,000 from the cutoff with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} and James Chen raised to 16,000 from the small blind with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Action folded back to Greenwood and he four-bet, making it 45,000. Chen just called.

The flop was {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Chen checked. Greenwood put out a bet of 15,000, a small bet compared to the size of the pot. Chen called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Chen checked again. Greenwood bet again, making it 40,000. Chen called again.

On the {K-Diamonds} river, Chen checked. Greenwood wisely checked behind, so Chen took down the pot with his full house and Greenwood avoided total disaster.

Leow Stacked by Yong

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ivan Leow
Ivan Leow

Ivan Leow has been throwing out big bets since the tournament started, and this hand was no different. Steve O'Dwyer opened with a raise to 4,000 from under the gun and Wai Kin Yong called on the button. Ivan Leow called in the big blind as well.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Leow checked to O'Dwyer who put out a bet of 4,000. Yong called while Leow check-raised, making it 20,000. O'Dwyer folded while Leow called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Leow put out another bet, making it 55,000. Yong thought for a while, then called.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Leow now moved all in for a bit more than 150,000. Yong dropped into the tank, using two time banks before he eventually decided to call. Leow showed down his {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} but Yong had him beat and made a difficult call with {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a straight. That would earn him the pot and boost him well

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche opened to 3,0000 in the hijack seat and Ivan Leow called on the button. JC Alvarado called in the big blind and it was on to the flop.
