Picking up the action on the K♦10♣7♣4♦ turn, James Mendoza bet 22,000 and Yixi Tang called as they then checked the 5♣ on the river. Tang revealed his A♥4♣ for a pair of fours but Mendoza had the superior pair with the 9♦9♣.
A decent portion of the secondary tournament area is in use and some of the largest stacks in the field can be found there. Among them is also Portugal's Andre Moreira, who got involved in a three-bet pot with Quang Minh Nguyen. On a flop of K♠J♦4♣, Moreira check-raised from 25,000 to 60,000 and Nguyen reluctantly folded with around half of the starting stack left.
Mantas Liachauskas opened to 8,000 in early position and was called by Chih-Yuan Wang in the cutoff and Hubert Spiess on the button, as well as Daniel Hyongin Lee in the big blind.
Action checked to Spiess on the flop of J♦9♣7♠ and he bet 20,000. Lee folded and Liachauskas check-raised to 60,000. Wang folded and Spiess moved all in for 124,000. Liachauskas called with a bigger stack.

Chuanshu Chen opened to 8,000 on the button and Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 32,000 in the small blind. Chen called.
Chidwick sized all the way down to 7,000 on the flop of 7♣A♣6♠ and Chen called. Chidwick then checked on the K♣ turn and Chen bet 25,000. Chidwick called.
Chidwick checked again on the 4♦ river and Chen bet 86,000. Chidwick folded.
Tom Fuchs made it 8,000 to go and Chih-Yuan Wang on the button three-bet to 20,000. It folded back to Fuchs and he four-bet to 55,000. Wang five-bet to 170,000 and instantly called the six-bet shove for 382,000.

Siyoung Lee raised to 8,000 in the cutoff and was called only by Aleksandr Zubov in the big blind. On the 8♣7♣4♥ flop, they checked to the 8♠ turn on which Zubov bet 20,000 and Lee called.
Zubov bet another 43,000 on the 5♠ river and Lee reluctantly called but mucked to the K♦8♦ of his opponent.
