Only a few minutes ago, Shaoshuai Li had bluffed off a big portion of his stack to Punnat Punsri and both clashed again after to seal the fate for Li right before the dinner break.
Li opened to 250,000 and he peeled against a three-bet to 725,000 by Punsri, heading to the 10♣5♠4♣ flop. Punsri led for 550,000 in the small blind and Li called. On the 4♥ turn, Punsri bet 1,100,000 and called Li's shove for 1,800,000.
Shaoshuai Li: J♦10♦
Punnat Punsri: J♥J♣
The river was the A♠ to send Li's run in 50th place.
First to act, Punnat Punsri made it 250,000 to go and Shaoshuai Li then three-bet to 450,000 in the cutoff to receive a call from Punsri, Meng Wang also came along from the big blind too.
On the 10♥5♥4♥ flop, the action checked to Li and he bet 550,000. Only Punsri called to then check the 8♣ on the turn. Li fired a second bet of 875,000 and Punsri called.
The river was the J♥ to bring a four-card flush on the board. Punsri checked the third street in a row and Li bet 1,500,000. After brief consideration, Punsri called and Li sheepishly rolled over the 4♦4♠ for a pair of fours. Punsri tabled the 8♠8♥ for a turned set and rivered flush to chip up.
Jun Obara raised it up to 250,000 from under the gun and Igor Yaroshevskyy called in the next seat. Tien Thanh Pham then moved all-in for 725,000 and Obara called. Yaroshevskyy raised to 2,500,000 thereafter and called the all-in of Obara for around 7.5 million to create a massive pot before the dinner break.
Tien Thanh Pham: A♦K♥
Jun Obara: A♠K♦
Igor Yaroshevskyy: Q♥Q♣
Yaroshevskyy's pair of queens was up against two ace-king and they held in style with a full house on the 9♠9♥4♠9♣6♦ board.
Down to only 250,000 in chips, Metasit Pratipsangkom moved all-in and was called two ways behind by Mingcong Chen and Tianyu Chen. The two active players checked the K♥8♠4♣ flop to the 9♣ turn, Chen bet 450,000 and Chen folded.
Metasit Pratipsangkom: 7♥7♠
Mingcong Chen: K♠K♦
Pratipsangkom was drawing dead to the 2♣ river and bowed out in 53rd place.
Lin Zhou open-jammed for 775,000 in middle position and Ruogu Wen called in the small blind.
Lin Zhou: A♣6♣
Ruogu Wen: 8♣7♠
Zhou couldn't stay ahead as the runout of 10♦7♦9♥6♥6♦ to give Wen a straight to send Zhou on an early dinner break.
All other tables were told to stop while table one still had action pending and it featured a duel between Joshua McCully in the hijack and Calvin Lee in the small blind.
McCully raised to 250,000 for Lee to defend and then check-call the K♦10♣4♥ flop for 175,000. On the 10♥ turn, Lee led for 275,000 and picked up a call from McCully as they headed to the 6♣ on the river.
Some confusion came then when Lee apparently declared three point five but made it 325,000 to go. McCully folded and then joked "well, maybe I call against three and a half million."
Laszlo Vaczy-Burany opened to 250,000 in early position and Kaoru Kishimoto called in the big blind.
Kishimoto checked on the flop of A♠6♦K♥ and Vaczy-Burany bet 200,000. Kishimoto called. Kishimoto checked again on the 2♣ turn and Vaczy-Burany bet 650,000. Kishimoto called.
Kishimoto checked once more on the 7♥ river and Vaczy-Burany checked back. Kishimoto showed A♣5♣ for top pair, but Vaczy-Burany had the better kicker with A♥Q♠.
