Amundsen Takes a Stack

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
2020 Unibet Open Dublin
2020 Unibet Open Dublin

Brendan O'Halloran opened the betting with a raise to 2,200. Edgar Amundsen called from the small blind before Colm Chan shoved for 12,300 from the big.

O'Halloran hit the tank for nearly a minute before folding, but Amundsen called fairly quickly. It was {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for Chan versus {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for Amundsen. The board of {10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs} ran out well for Amundsen, and he chipped up to around 60,000.

Eleven Rounds of Flips

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The Flipout event is still going strong, with 11 starting rounds so far. That puts more the €2,000 into the pool for the winner-takes-all event. The final field is still being set as they are still looking for a 12th round.

Day 1c is Underway

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The final chance to book a seat in Day just put cards in the air. There are 36 entries to start, and while they start with the same 30,000 chips as Days 1a and 1b, they'll use those chips in 20 minute levels instead of the one hour levels of the previous days. The field in Day 1c has also pushed the prize pool over the €250,000 guarantee. Currently, there is €253,000 in the pool, but that will only grow as Day 1c fills up.

2020 Unibet Open Dublin

Its not just normal poker happening tonight at the Bonnington Hotel, as they've started "Flipping Out." There's cash up for grabs as each entry pays €25 + €5, to play the first round of an 8-handed flip table. Further rounds and payouts depend on total entries, but no matter what happens, the noise from that end of the room is deafening as everyone involved is clearly having fun.
