Benitez Busto Early On

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante
Clement Cassagne
Clement Cassagne

Abraham Benitez had lost the vast majority of his stack very early with Clement Cassagne benefitting from it as the chip leader on the table.

The action then saw a squeeze to 4,000 by Cyril Fernandez and Benitez got the last 6,475 in with Cassagne and Fernandez both calling.

After the {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, Cassagne check-called a bet worth 10,000 by Fernandez and they checked down the {a-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river. Benitez rolled over the {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for king-high and Fernandez had that beat with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

However, it was Cassagne who had the best of it again with {k-Spades}{q-Spades} to deal the final blow.

At almost the same time, Jorge Ufano was eliminated from the very next table and both Benitez and Ufano are expected to re-enter shortly.

More for Gonzalez Hernaez Without Showdown

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante

In a three-bet pot with 2,300 invested each, Sefora Pop and Igor Gonzalez Hernaez invested 2,500 on the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop. They checked the {j-Diamonds} turn and Pop bet the {3-Hearts} river for 6,000. Her opponent gave it some thought before calling and Pop sent her cards into the muck to surrender the pot.

Villesuzanne Off to a Good Start

Level 2 : 125/250, 250 ante

On the river of a {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board, Nicolas Tarenberque called a bet worth 11,000 by Aurelien Villesuzanne and was shown the {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a straight to the king. He sent the cards into the muck and then sighed "you represent the king on the river":

Tan Knocked Out by Iskandar

Level 2 : 125/250, 250 ante
Rami Iskandar
Rami Iskandar

With 5,500 in the middle to the three-way flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, Rami Iskandar bet 2,000 in the big blind. Jeremy Tan raised to 7,000 from under the gun and Fernande Vazquez folded while Iskandar reluctantly called.

The {7-Hearts} followed on the turn and Iskandar checked, then tank-called a bet worth 15,000 by Tan to see the {j-Spades} on the river. Iskandar tanked for nearly one and a half minutes before moving all-in and Tan snap-called.

The {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} of Iskandar were tabled and Tan gasped "quel chattard" = what a luckbox" in French as he flashed the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the flopped nut straight to hit the rail.

Gonzalez Hernaez Chips Up

Level 2 : 125/250, 250 ante

Sefora Pop defended out of the blinds against Igor Gonzalez Hernaez and check-called for 550 on the {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. After the {j-Diamonds} turn, she checked once more and Gonzalez Hernaez made it 1,000 to go. That was enough to win the pot for the Spaniard in the corner section of the main room.

Some More Notables in the Mix

Level 2 : 125/250, 250 ante

The "day of the qualifiers" has reeled in hundreds of recreational players as the main tournament room is filled entirely with six-max action in the Main Event. So far, only one Winamax Pro has been spotted and that happens to be Francois Pirault.

Some Winamax Important Players, the so called "WIP" are also there as well.
