Dicu Busts Abilil To Boost Stack Further

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Marian Dicu was already a big stack and he then raise-called the shove by Mohamoud Abilil for the last 105,000 to set up the following showdown.

Mohamoud Abilil: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Marian Dicu: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop left Abilil in desperate shape and it was all over on the {3-Clubs} turn, while the {7-Diamonds} river was somewhat of a needle.

Grigoriu Binks the River Against Modestas

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The dealer announced the seat open already and Gailius Modestas was spotted on his way out of the chair en route to a long waiting line at the payout desk. His {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} were already mucked as the pot was shipped to Charles Grigoriu, who had gotten there with the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

While ahead preflop, Grigoriu fell behind on the {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and still trailed on the {7-Diamonds} turn. However, the {q-Spades} fell on the river and gave Grigoriu the superior two pair and a modest boost to his stack.

Knafo Gutierrez Eliminated by Nunez Arguello

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A short-stacked Miguel Knafo Gutierrez was all-in for around seven blinds with the {j-Spades}{9-Spades}. He was looked up by David Nunez Arguello with the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and the best case scenario with a coin flip unfolded.

The {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop vaulted Knafo into the lead but the {7-Clubs} turn left him drawing dead, which made the {j-Diamonds} river bitter sweet. "One more card please," Knafo joked on his way out.

May the Floodgates Open

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With the bubble finally bursting, several short stacks who had hung around quickly vanished and the field almost immediately dropped below 300 hopefuls.

Jose Valls was left with crumbs and essentially all-in blind out of the big blind with the {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Mihai Ghergu tabled the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} from under the gun and the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} board gave Valls a miracle straight to retain his chances of a deeper run.

Oueslati Doubles on the Bubble; Santerne Eliminated

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Thomas Lanterne Eliminated on the Bubble

Another three all-in and call during the next hand brought one double up in the Mandalay Room.

Up next, Ouajdi Oueslati three-bet jammed for 63,000 in the big blind and he was called by the initial raiser Adriano Abbracciavento from the cutoff.

Ouajdi Oueslati: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Adriano Abbracciavento: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The French rail celebrated on the {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} board as Oueslati secured the double up.

Last but not least, a battle of the blinds saw the raise by Alexandre Dana to 35,000 and he then called the shove by Thomas Santerne for what appeared to be 292,000 in the big blind.

Thomas Santerne: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Alexandre Dana: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} board kept the jacks in the lead and the bubble eventually burst.

A Double and a Bust on the Bubble

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Mehdi El Meray jammed a shorter stack with the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} into the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} of Roberto Gioffre and found no luck on the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board to bust in 314th place.

There was one more all-in showdown in which Julien Lemee got the last trey blinds in from the big blinds with {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Ivan Camacho Armentero had raised from under the gun with {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} but the overcards got there on the {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board.
