Dolan's oppnent shot a look to Dolan then cordially tapped the table to check. Dolan checked behind and the two players did the same when the 
completed the board. Dolan's opponent showed 
and Dolan mucked his hand. This loss brings Dolan's stack to about 32,500.
AJ Jejelowo went all in for 3,750 from early position and action folded around to Vanessa Selbst in the big blind. She called with

Four players including Dwyte Pilgrim saw a flop of

The first player to act shot 1,450 into the center of the table and it folded around to Pilgrim.
"You're the only one who could have it," said Pilgrim. "But you could also be bluffing." Pilgrim tossed in a call.

came on fifth street and Pilgrim's opponent bet 1,800 into the pot. Pilgrim raised to 5,075 and his opponent quickly folded his hand, awarding Pilgrim the pot.
"I didn't have a jack, obviously," said Pilgrim as he raked in his new chips. "I thought I had the best hand, though, you know?"
Pilgrim is currently sitting pretty with about 37,500 in tournament chips.

Tournament staff has announced the end of the alternate period which means that registration for the day has come to a close. An impressive 401 players turned up for Day 1a and therefore the top 41 players from today's play will advance to Day 2 on Sunday.
With five full levels already in the books, 310 players are still in the hunt to be among the top ten percent of players.

We came by TJ Cloutier's table to hear him telling stories of the past that were met by rousing laughs from his tablemates.
"Everytime I see someone in a hoodie I think of Phil Laak," Cloutier told his table.
Cloutier then went on to tell the table of a time that he was playing at the Commerce Casino and Phil Laak played for a month straight wearing the same exact hoodie without washing it. He said that by the time a month had passed they refused to let Laak in the game until he went home and washed his hoodie.
Cloutier's stories have kept his table in good spirits and it seems to be one of the most fun tables in the room. Cloutier himself has reason to be smiling as well, as he is sitting above starting stack with about 19,000 in tournament chips.
