Duhamel Beats Wang

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

David Wang opened for 1,400 under the gun and Jamie Pickering called from the button. Jonathan Duhamel then three-bet to 5,900 from the big blind, Wang called, and Pickering got out of the way. When the flop fell {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, Duhamel bet pot, Wang moved in for 16,800 total, and Duhamel called.

Duhamel: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Wang: {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

The 2010 WSOP champ held aces while Wang had a pair of eights. The {4-Spades} turn changed nothing, but the the {6-Spades} river did give Wang two pair, which he thought was good until Duhamel pointed out he had made a flush. Duhamel was pushed the pot while Wang took the long walk out of the tournament area.
