Engel Climbing High

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We got to the table to find Ari Engel and an opponent looking at {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Engel tapped the table and passed action to his opponent. His opponent moved out 11,000 and action was back on Engel. He cut into his stack and came out with a raise to 28,300. Engel's opponent dropped in a call.

Engel rolled up {6-Clubs}{4-Spades} for trip sixes and his opponent let out a chuckle and slid his hands to the muck. Engel is now sporting roughly 240,000 in chips.

Dearly Departed

Level 13 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Todd Crushing

Level 13 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Three players including Nancy Todd took a flop of {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}. The first player checked to Todd who shot out 3,600. The button called and the first player folded.

Action slowed down on fourth street when the {10-Diamonds} fell as both players checked their option. The {4-Spades} completed the board and two hands tapped the table once more. Todd tabled {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a turned pair of tens and her opponent mucked, awarding her the pot. She's currently sitting on about 150,000.

Martin Missing Some

Level 13 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

We got to the table to see cards and chips strewn on the table after David Martin lost a pot to another player. We're unsure of the action, but the shorter stacked player was all in holding {J-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and the board ran out {5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Martin was unable to improve enough to beat the jacks. He was forced to ship 26,000 over to his opponent, dropping his stack to about 118,000.
