Ace-High is Good

Level 30 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Matas Cimbolas raised to 165,000 and was called by Antoine Rahal in the big blind, who also announced a check in the dark. Rahal then check-called a continuation bet of 165,000 on the {2-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {7-Hearts} flop and the {5-Diamonds} turn saw no betting action.

On the {K-Clubs} river, Rahal bet 110,000 and snap-called the raise of Cimbolas to 255,000. "Nothing," the Lithuanian announced and was prompted to turn over his cards. Cimbolas obliged and showed the {J-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} and Rahal revealed his winning {A-Hearts} {9-Spades} for ace-high.

Rahal Doubles Through Alilovic

Level 30 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Miroslav Alilovic raised to 200,000 from the button and Antoine Rahal shoved for 1,640,000 from the small blind. Diego Aranzadi folded and Alilovic snap-called, putting the third player at risk in a row.

Rahal: {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts}
Alilovic: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}

The short stack found himself dominated, but the board ran out {5-Spades} {8-Hearts} {3-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} and Rahal received the four he had been asking for. Both Frenchman laughed and shook hands before trading the chips.

Najib Bennis - 6th place

Miroslav Alilovic opened and then called the three-bet shove of Najib Bennis for around 2 million in chips. It was a setup of pocket pairs, as Bennis was at risk with the {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs} and found himself dominated by the {K-Hearts} {K-Spades} of the Frenchman.

The board ran out {A-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} and Alilovic took down yet another massive pot to increase the lead significantly.
