Tommy Le-liminated

Over on table 369, Tommy Le got the last of his money into the middle before the flop with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and found himself in great shape to double up against Michael "Timex" McDonald, who had called with {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

However, Timex spiked two pair on the flop of {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, which improved to a bigger two pair after the turn and river ran out {Q-Hearts}, {J-Clubs}. With that, Le's off to the cage to pick up his cash, while McDonald now sits on 380,000 in chips.

Shortway Scores Knockout

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

We came into the action on a flop of {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} with Jani Sointula all in, Danny Fuhs re-raisied pot, and Robert Shortway did the same, putting himself all in. The three flipped up their cards to see the turn and river.

Sointula: {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Shortway: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Fuhs: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Spades}

The board in totality was {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Shortway took it down with a set of eights on the river. Sointula busted, Fuhs fell down to 150,000, and Shortway more than tripled up to 212,000

Cracked Aces Lead to Flack's Demise

Layne Flack
Layne Flack

We didn't catch all the action, but we arrived in time to see Layne Flack all in on a board reading {J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Flack was flashing {A-}{A-}{X}{X}, but Chris Moorman held the better hand with {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

"Seems about right," Flack moaned before making his exit.
