Baker Almost Gets "Zero-Outered"

Tom Schneider
Tom Schneider

We didn't see how the betting went down, but a doozy of a hand just developed when David Baker and Roger Easterday got all in and were at risk against the superior stack of Tom Schneider.

Shneider: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Easterday: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Baker: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

It was a sick hand with Baker way out in front. The {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop gave Baker trips and left Easterday drawing dead; however, with two spades on the flop, Schneider had a runner-runner flush opportunity. Baker's face fell when the {Q-Spades} was put out on the river, making the long shot that much closer to happening.

The dealer burned and put out the {6-Spades}! Baker cringed in agony . . . "Wait," he said, "It paired the board." The realization that he'd made a full house and could beat Schneider's flush dawned on him and Baker was all smile.

Easterday was eliminated on the hand while Schneider followed him out the door a few hands later.
