From Russia With Love

We found Adam Netzer all in from the big blind on the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Spades} flop against Brent Carter in the small blind and Alexander Kostritsyn in middle position. On the {10-Hearts} turn, Carter checked to Kostritsyn who methodically laid out a bet that looked to be 13,400. The small blind folded as the two remaining players turned up their hands.

Kostritsyn: {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Netzer: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Although Netzer had the {A-Spades}, he didn’t have another spade to go along with it which only gave him a straight and the nut-flush blocker which was drawing dead against Kostritsyn’s flush. The river was the {9-Hearts} as the Russian Kostritsyn chipped up while Netzer was eliminated.
