Smith Jams River On Curcio

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From the hijack seat, Joseph Curcio raised to 16,000. Joshua Smith reraised to 33,000, and action folded back to Curcio. He called, and the dealer ran out the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. Both players checked.

The turn was the {8-Spades}, completing a possible flush draw. Curcio checked, Smith bet 38,000, and Curcio made the call.

The river completed the board with the {5-Diamonds}. After Curcio checked with approximately 150,000 behind. Smith announced that he was all in, putting Curcio to the test as he had him covered. Curcio tanked for about a minute, then folded, and Smith won the pot.

Finne Not Feeling Fine

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Timothy Finne's Main Event run has come to an end at the start of Level 18 after taking his {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and the last of his chips up against Yi Fang's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

When the board ran out {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, Fang cried "I love ladies" a few times — referring to his pocket queens having held — and Finne wasn't too amused.

Mueller Busts a Shorty

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Nicholas Kamen got his final 72,000 in preflop holding {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}, but unfortunately for him, he ran straight into the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} of Greg Mueller. The two had to wait a couple of minutes for the cameras to get over there, and eventually, the dealer put out a board of {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Kamen headed for the payout desk while Mueller up his stack to 425,000.
