[Removed:349] Loses Flip to Bust in 31st Place

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Alan Ho
Alan Ho

Patrick [Removed:349], with a stack of around 1,600,000, opened preflop to 275,000. Over to Alan Ho, next to act, who three-bet to 800,000. When it folded back to [Removed:349], he pushed his whole stack forward and was swiftly called.

[Removed:349]: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Ho: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The board was not only clear of overcards to a nine, it brought a full house by the river for Ho: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. [Removed:349] leaves to collect $18,508 in prize money.

Ho pointed out that his lucky black turtle card protector has something missing, namely, a head. Apparently this is a new development and the missing head caused some concern to his wife re its luck factor, but Ho assures us, "It was lucky before, but it's luckier now."

Pacleb Overflushes Johnson

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Robert Pacleb got the better of Don Johnson in a battle of spade flushes.

Robert Pacleb: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Don Johnson: {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Board: {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}

The all-spade board gave Pacleb the win and ended Johnson's tournament run on Day 3.

Donarski and Sperberg Out within 30 Seconds of Each Other

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Richard Sperberg's last hand saw him all in preflop with a dominated ace for just over a million chips (now ten big blinds). His {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} couldn't hit anything to improve over Dane Nielsen's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} on the {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} board.

Almost immediately after Sperberg's exit, Kenneth Donarski moved in for six big blinds with {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Sole remaining Brit in the field Ali Zihni gave him a spin with the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. His suit might not have been live, but his cards were, and he hit one of them to take the pot and another scalp.

Tough End for Skrovan

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

With similar stacks, John Skrovan and Dennis Brand got all of the chips in preflop.

John Skrovan: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Dennis Brand: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Brand had Skrovan covered by just a bit, and the runout was looking good for Skrovan all the way through the turn {8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The river brought disaster for Skrovan's aces, however, as the {j-Diamonds} hit the board and sent Skroval to the rail.

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jean Fontaine has over 8,700,000 chips, his most recent acquisitions those of Jonathan Bramson. Bramson moved his now very short stack all in on the cutoff and Fontaine gave him a spin from the button.

Fontaine: {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Bramson: {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The board: {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts}, a straight for Fontaine. Bramson picks up $15,018 for his 39th place finish.
