Wright and "pill_ivey" Bubble the Big 500

Level 23 : 2,500/5,000, 625 ante

Robert "BobTheDonkey" Hoberman raised to 10,000 from middle position, and James "LVBrit" Wright three-bet shoved for 31,145 in the hijack. "Seeze" called in the small blind, as did Hoberman.

"Seeze" bet 42,000 on a {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, enough to put Hoberman at risk, and Hoberman folded.

James "LVBrit" Wright: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
"Seeze": {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Wright had ran into a cooler at the worst possible time, and no king would come on the {5-Diamonds} turn or {6-Hearts} river to end Wright's day in 373rd place.

At another table, "pill_ivey" was eliminated in 372nd place, and the remaining field is all in the money!

Altman Leaves "BabyBrunson3" With Crumbs

Level 22 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Brian "JackBogle" Altman raised to 8,000 from the cutoff, and was called by "BabyBrunson3" in the big blind.

"BabyBrunson3" check-called a bet of 5,000 from Altman on a {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop, and both players checked the {10-Spades} turn.

"BabyBrunson3" bet 16,000 on the {2-Hearts} river, just under half their stack. Altman called, and after "BabyBrunson3" tabled {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a busted flush draw, Altman showed his {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for tens and deuces and the winner.

Yeh Doubles Near the Bubble

Level 22 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Don "TournyDirect" Ciaglo moved all in for 56,987 under the gun and Philip "tomte" Yeh called off for 17,057 next to act. The rest of the players folded and the hands were turned up.

Don "TournyDirect" Ciaglo: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Philip "tomte" Yeh: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Yeh had the better ace and he was rewarded with a double after the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

Romano Roasted by Marsden

Level 21 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

Francis "Specialfx" Romano raised to 6,400 from the lojack and John "Warwind" Marsden just called from the small blind to see a flop of {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

Marsden checked, Romano bet 6,400, and Marsden check-raised big to 38,800. Romano responded by moving all in and Marsden called off the 29,258 he had behind.

Francis "Specialfx" Romano: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}
John "Warwind" Marsden: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Marsden's slowplay with Big Slick paid off in a 157K pot after the {k-Spades} turn improved him to a full house and the {9-Spades} river awarded him the pot.

Romano was left with 1,996 but went but in the next hand.

Kuhn Runs Into Quads

Level 21 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante
Robert Kuhn
Robert Kuhn

"murph_daddy" limped in from under the gun, and Robert "BustinBalls" Kuhn, winner of Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold'em, raised to 10,600 next to act. Action folded back to "murph_daddy", who called.

"murph_daddy" check-called a bet of 9,600 from Kuhn on a {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop, and the {q-Diamonds} fell on the turn. "murph_daddy" checked, and Kuhn bet 16,000. "murph_daddy" check-raised to 32,000 and Kuhn called.

"murph_daddy" jammed on the {q-Clubs} river, putting Kuhn to the test for his last 78,911. Kuhn used up nearly all of his time bank before making the call with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, but "murph_daddy" held {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for quad queens, and Kuhn was eliminated.
