Ormson Eliminated By Parry

Level 16 : 1,400/2,800, 280 ante
Larry Ormson
Larry Ormson

After Tony "Panoramic" Dunst opened for 5,600 from the hijack, Wisconsin's Larry "lormson" Ormson, who is playing from New Jersey, three-bet all in for 12,588 from the button. Matthew "EarvinMagic" Parry then made it 19,576 to go from the small blind and Dunst got out of the way.

Matthew "EarvinMagic" Parry: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Larry "lormson" Ormson: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Ormson was behind and things got worse when the {5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop gave Parry top pair. The {q-Hearts} turn gave Parry top two pair but it kept Ormson drawing live as a ten would give him a Broadway straight.

Unfortunately for the Wisconsinite, the {5-Spades} river was a brick and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Melisa Singh
Melisa Singh

Shankar "Burgersssss" Pillai opened with a raise from the hijack and Joseph "Kolebear" Hebert three-bet to 13,333 from the cutoff.

Action folded to Melisa Singh who four-bet jammed for 30,328 from the big blind and she was called by Hebert after Pillai mucked his hand.

Melisa Singh: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Joseph "Kolebear" Hebert: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Singh had Hebert dominated but had a sweat after the {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop gave him a gutshot.

The {5-Hearts} turn gave Hebert the straight but Singh picked-up the nut flush draw which was completed with the {7-Hearts} on the river securing her double-up.

Picinic Loses Race to Klein

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 240 ante
Dominic Picinic
Dominic Picinic

Action on the tabled folded around to Loren "BabyJesus" Klein who limped in from the small blind before calling Dominic "Ry_Ty_Ly" Picinic's 54,271 all in raise from the big blind.

Loren "BabyJesus" Klein: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Dominic "Ry_Ty_Ly" Picinic: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

It was a race with Klein taking the lead after the {4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop.

The {10-Clubs} turn was no help to Picinic nor was the {9-Diamonds} river, as his tournament came to an end.

WSOP Legend: Doyle Brunson's Final Bracelet, 15 Years Later

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante
Doyle Brunson
Doyle Brunson

At the beginning of the 2005 WSOP, Doyle Brunson remained the co-king of the all-time bracelet count, tied along with Johnny Chan at nine. However, as the series drew toward its close in late June, that was no longer the case — Chan had overtaken him by winning No. 10 to stand atop the mountain alone.

Brunson was already phasing out his tournament play, having cashed precisely zero times that summer and just three times in the previous two combined, although one had resulted in a bracelet victory.

When it came time for Event #31: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed, Brunson dusted off his tournament chops and made a run.
