Abudi Wounds Hendrix

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The board read {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Adam Hendrix bet enough to put Lior Abudi all in and he called.

Abudi held {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for top pair with a gutshot. The {10-Clubs} river improved Abudi to two pair, with Hendrix's hand quickly turned over the dealer, sending a large portion of his stack across the table.

Ari Engel
Ari Engel

Ari Engel saw a {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop three ways. Action checked to Engel and he bet 32,000 to take it down. Engel has nearly doubled his starting stack on the day.

Meanwhile, on a neighboring table, action folded to Christian Harder in the small blind, and he shoved on the shorter stack in the big blind, Craig Varnell.

Varnell laid it down, but he would shove two hands later and take it down preflop.

Kelly Calls and Falls

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The board read {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts} on the turn. The pot was 160,000 and Peter Kelly was facing a decision for his tournament life as Adam Hendrix bet enough to force Kelly all in, who had about 110,000 behind.

Kelly thought for quite a while and after over two minutes he called and tabled the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair and the nut flush draw, while Hendrix had the lead with the {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades} two pair.

The river came the {8-Diamonds} and Kelly was gone.
