Bertrand Left Wishing It Was Stud

Level 4

Alex Livingston: {x-}/{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Michelle Bertrand: {x-}/{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} - folded
Opponent: {x-}/{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs} - folded

Alex Livingston, Michelle Bertrand, and another player went three-handed to fifth street when Livingston bet. Both Bertrand and the other opponent called.

Livingston bet again on sixth street, but this time both his opponents folded.

"If this was Stud and not Razz," Bertrand said.

"You need my nine," Livingston responded as he raked in the pot.

Heimiller Wins Amid Controversy

Level 3

Dan Heimiller: {x-}{x-}/{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Spades}/{x-}

Both Dan Heimiller and his opponent had the same Q-9-6 board showing by fifth street. Heimiller was adamant that action should be determined by suit, while his opponent insisted it was by who made the hand first.

The tournament floor had to be called and ruled in Heimiller's opponent's favor. He bet on sixth and seventh street, and Heimiller called.

"Nine-low," he said, but Heimiller had him beat with {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for 9-7-6-2-A

"Check the rule book," Heimiller was still insisting after the hand.

Level 2

Adam Owen: {x-}{x-}/{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}/{x-}

Adam Owen paired his four on fifth street but put out a bet on sixth street. His opponent called, then called another bet from Owen on seventh.

"Seven-six," Owen announced, turning over {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for 7-6-4-3-2. His opponent mucked.
