Konnikova Knocks Out Opponent

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was followed from the turn with the 59J flop and 10 already dealt and three players in the hand. The pot stood at around 50,000.

Jason Kim (LA) raised from the button to 24,000 and got a call from the big blind. Maria Konnikova moved all in for around 110,000 and Kim took around a minute to make the fold, with the big blind staring him down the entire tank. The big blind snap called and the two remaining players flipped their cards.

Big blind: 8x7xAll in
Maria Konnikova: Qx8x

The big blind had turned a straight, but Konnikova had turned a higher one with the queen.

The big blind was eliminated and Kim shared some table talk, stating they had K10 for a straight and flush draw on the flop, and shared that they would "usually call".
