Steven Sobel raised to 2,300 from early position before being greeted by a three-bet from Christopher Nelligan to 7,300 in the small blind. Sobel made the call.
The dealer spread a K♠2♦J♥ flop, and Nelligan decided to bet 8,500, which got a fold from Sobel. Nelligan tabled A♠A♥. "I was hoping you had Ace-King," commented Nelligan.
"I really wanted to have King-Jack there," was Sobel's response.
James Mullaly went all in preflop from the button, and Peter Kiem made the call. Greg Ostrander had a decision, but ultimately folded his hand.

Hicks couldn't believe his luck as he had ran right into it at the point of elimination, but the flop 8♦5♥J♠ brought him hopes of staying alive in the tournament. The A♦7♥ runout secured him a more than triple up, as he picked up the blinds and ante, but with less than ten big blinds he will need to keep on spinning up to make a deeper run in this event.
Todd Hatch raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was met with a three-bet from Colin Wickersheim to 7,600 from the small blind, and Hatch called.
The dealer fanned a 4♠8♣3♦ flop. Colin Wickersheim bet 4,000, Hatch then raised to 10,000. Colin Wickersheim went all in for roughly 60,000, and Hatch found the fold.
Reginald Roberts opened for 2,000 in the cutoff and got called by the button player, David Gonzalez, to see a flop.
The dealer fanned out A♠5♥4♦. Both players checked. The turn 10♠ fell and Roberts led out with 3,000 and got called once again.
The river 8♣ went check-check. Roberts showed K♣J♥ for king-high. Gonzalez mucked conceding the pot to Roberts.
Vedat Deviren limped from under the gun, while Danette Smith raised to 3,000 from middle position. It folded back to Deviren, and he flicked in a three-bet of 7,000. Smith announced, "All in," for 33,000 effective. Deviren requested a count.
Deviren stated, "I have a big pair," and then called.
