2025 World Series of Poker
Level: 24
Blinds: 20,000/40,000
Ante: 40,000
The remaining 134 players have been sent on a 15-minute break and will return to blinds at 20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 big blind ante.
Patrick Blackwell raised to 80,000 in the hijack, Andrew Bradshaw flat called from the button, and Martin Nielsen three-bet to 280,000 from the small blind. Blackwell folded, and Bradshaw stood up and announced, "All in" for 525,000 effective. Nielson made the call and saw the bad news.
Martin Nielsen: 8♣8♦
Andrew Bradshaw: 10♥10♠
The board ran out with 7♥J♦A♠6♣7♣, and a pair of tens was good enough for Bradshaw to do a happy dance in true Bradshaw form.
Bradshaw declared, "I did not travel 5,000 miles to fold". Bradshaw had a deep finish in last year's senior event.
Terry Mccranie opened to 80,000 from middle position. Marc Joseph in the hijack raised all-in for 760,000, then Raminder Singh in the big blind four-bet all-in and made Mccranie fold.
Marc Joseph: 10♣10♥
Raminder Singh: A♦K♥
There was no sweat for Joseph who flopped a full house on 8♦8♣10♠7♠J♦ to double up.
According to the table, all the chips went in the middle preflop between Shawn Pilot, at risk for his last 500,000 and John Phan who had him covered:
Shawn Pilot: A♦K♦.
John Phan: A♣A♠
Pilot didn't find any miracle throughout the board Kx10xJx8x5x and Phan took the pot.
There were roughly 500,000 chips in the pot on 5♥6♣Q♦6♦10♣, Francis Brea bet 125,000 from the small blind into Yvonne Alton who was under the gun.
Alton took a few moments before she made the call, Brea tabled A♥Q♠ for top pair and kicker. Alton flashed the A♣ and said "I had Ace-Ten, that river card was so bad".
Action picked up on the turn with a sizable pot brewing between Robert Aleksivich in early position and Peter Fellows on the button.
With roughly 1,000,000 in the middle and the board reading K♠J♠2♦A♠, Aleksivich checked and Fellows fired out a bet of 290,000.
Aleksivich went into the tank, thinking out loud about what Fellows could have. Eventually, Aleksivich tossed his cards into the muck.
Thong Tran in early position jammed for 200,000. Greg Collins on the button three-bet all-in for 715,000, and David Welch in the big blind went deep into the tank before folding A♦K♣ face up.
Thong Tran: Q♦J♣
Greg Collins: A♣Q♠
Collins' ace-high held on 5♥4♦6♦3♣4♥ so Tran was eliminated.
