Giordano Stays Alive

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Robert Giordano got his remaining 86,000 in preflop, and table bigstack Michael Lin was right there with him.

Robert Giordano: KQQ2 All in
Michael Lin: J775

Giordano was on the ropes as the 938 flop gave his opponent both an open ender and a flush draw, keeping him very live. However, not only did the Partouche pro hold, he improved to the second nuts as the board ran out 3Q. "Nice hand" said Lin. "I see why you went all in."

Brodeur One-Outs Heritsch

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Olivier Brodeur got it all in on a 86J flop against Michael Heritsch, and was in need of some serious help.

Olivier Brodeur: AA1010 All in
Michael Heritsch: QJJ9

Heritsch had flopped the nuts, and Brodeur was looking for an ace and an ace only, one of which had already been folded by another player at the table, yet it came on the A turn. He started celebrating his survival, as Heritsch struggled to come to terms with his inability to hold. The 3 river led players to describe it as a "set up hand"

Conrad Relents to Yockey's River Bet

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

On a flop of K49 with exactly 136,000 in the pot, Ryan Conrad potted it from the big blind and Bryce Yockey called in the hijack.

On the 2 turn, both checked to the A river, where Conrad tapped the table and Yockey threw out a bet of 115,000. Conrad mulled it over for some time, but eventually let it go, allowing Yockey's stack to grow to around 1,900,000.

Vohra and Andia Both Have a Boat

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jorge Paredes Andia opened from middle position to 44,000 and Rajesh Vohra called in the big blind.

They saw a flop of 9106, where both checked to the 6 turn. Vohra tapped the table again and Andia threw out 38,000. Vohra then check-raise to 150,000, which Andia called.

A 7 hit the river and Vohra took some time before he made a bet of 250,000. Andia snap-called by tossing a chip in.

Vohra then showed a full house with KJ106, but Andia flipped KQ99 for a bigger boat to take the pot.

Monroig Takes it Down

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Six players put in the 16,000 necessary to keep their hole cards and see a flop, and it checked all the way through to the cutoff as it came down 5Q4. Michael Heritsch bet out for 80,000 into the field, and Michael Monroig was his only caller.

The turn 8 checked through, and it was Monroig who took aggressive action on the K river, as he bet out for 175,000. Heritsch was clearly in a spot, but eventually surrendered his cards as Monroig picked up a sizeable pot.

Assous Hanging Around

The board ran out AK45K and the turned flush for Giordano was outran by the rivered full house from Assous.
