Reed was behind to Dulaney, but he did have some live cards that he could hit to survive. The 4♣Q♥9♠ flop gave Reed some extra outs. The 6♥ on the turn meant Reed needed some help on the river to keep his tournament dreams alive. The J♦ fell on the river to improve Reed to a set, keeping him in the event.

In a limped pot, the flop came 6♥Q♠9♥ and Michael Monroig checked from the small blind as did Jason Stockfish in the big blind and Rayan Chamas from under the gun.

The turn brought the 9♦, Monroig checked, and Stockfish bet out for 85,000. Chamas called, and Monroig folded. The river saw the 4♠ fall and now Stockfish bet out for 225,000. After tanking for a while, Chamas called and instantly mucked his cards when Stockfish flipped over A♠J♣9♣8♦ for turned trips and was sent the pot.

With about 400,000 in the middle, Monroig checked, Stockfish moved all in for 250,000, Brodeur called, and Monroig got out of the way.
