Two Big All-Ins See Leonard Through

Level 8 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

According to the dealer, it was two big all-ins that saw Patrick Leonard emerge victorious from his round one match versus Linglin Zeng.

First of all, Leonard's pocket tens held versus the pocket sevens of Zeng. Following this hand, Leonard found himself with another big pair, this time pocket queens, which was all-in pre-flop versus the underpair of Zeng again.

No help for Zeng on the run-out, and Leonard progresses.

Dan Advances, Hendrix Stays Alive

Level 8 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Just a few hands after Jeremy Dan took a massive lead over Chris Brewer, the match finished with Dan advancing to the next round.

The board ran out jack-high and Hendrix held on to double up and survive elimination for now.

Mario Fata was hobbled after the previous hand left him with 16,900 after Kristen Foxen river jammed, eliciting a fold from Fata.

Fata then opted to go all in on the next hand for his remaining stack. Foxen settled on a call, and the cards were on their back.

Mario Fata: Q5All in
Kristen Foxen: K2

The queen was the first in the window when the flop came, but a king followed shortly after when the board ran Q6K. The 3 turn and the 8 river brought no help to Fata as he hit the rail.

David Chen opened to 5,000 on the button and Landon Tice reraised to 17,500 from the big blind. Chen called and the dealer fanned the flop of J44.

Tice continued with a bet of 9,000 and Chen called to see the 7 on the turn. Tice fired out another bet of 26,000 and that was enough to force Chen out of the hand.

Cucchiara Stays Alive with a Double

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 0 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Frank Cucchiara and Wesley Fei got all of their chips in the middle with Cucchiara being the player at risk for 62,500.
