Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

In a heads-up raised pot, the flop was 8Q2 when Rosalie Petit check-called Katie Lindsay for 1,300. The same action happened on the 4 turn, this time for 3,400.

On the 2 river, both checked and Petit tabled Q9 for top pair, which was good enough to make Lindsay muck her cards.

Good Luck for Nana

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Kathy Saraf opened with a 500 bet from under the gun and got four callers - Sara Dehghani in cutoff, Deborah Tallaksen on the button and blinds Lauren Harmon, Suzanne Gentner in small and big respectively.

Tallaksen was a bit busy chatting with her seatmates as the dealer flopped 9Q9, talking about her grandchild. The blinds checked the action back to Saraf who fired 700. Deghani folded, and Tallaksen raised to 1,400, pushing the blinds out of the hand.

With action back to her, Saraf considered her options ultimately folding. Tallaksen turned over her cards to show Q9 for a full house on the flop then continued relating how her grandchild wished her luck on the event.

Malavet With Spidey Senses

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Katherine Porrello raised from the button to 300, and the small blind Lina Niu called, as did Suzanne Malavet from the big blind. The flop came out with 74A and both of the blinds checked to Porello, who bet out 400. Niu folded, and Malavet called.

On the turn 2, Malavet checked, and Porrello bet 1,200. Malavet called again.

The river Q saw Malavet check again, and Porrello quickly bet out 3,600. Malavet hesitated for a second and made the call.

Porrello queried, "Do you have an ace"?

Malavet flipped over 75 for a pair of sevens, and Porrello flipped over KJ.

Malavet stated, "I just knew you didn't have the ace".

Malavet received fourth place in this tournament in 2023.

Legend Barbara Enright is also at this tough table.
