James Stansbury raised to 3,500 from under the gun before Patrick Leonard three-bet to 11,700 from the cutoff. After some thinkinig time, Stansbury called.

Stansbury stood pat, while Leonard drew one. Stansbury, who had 46,500 behind, checked. Leonard bet 49,500 sending Stansbury into the tank. The latter eventually called for his tournament life and heard two golden words from Leonard: "Good call."

Leonard had paired up, making 9x9x6x4x3x, while Stansbury had 10x8x6x3x2x to double up.

Leonard was left with 5,000 chips.

Roman Jams On Savakinas

Michael Savakinas raised to 3,000 from the hijack and in the big blind Christopher Roman called.

The flop rolled out 710Q and both players checked to the turn 6 where Roman bet 4,000 and Savakinas called.

On the river 4, Roman moved all in for 35,000 and Savakinas quickly tossed his hand into the muck.

Obst Gets Kerkaert to Fold an Eight

William Kerkaert raised from the button before James Obst made it 19,000 from the big blind. Kerkaert four-bet to 34,000 but was sent into the tank after Obst jammed as the slightly bigger stack.

Kerkaert had 61,000 behind and thought for several minutes before Scott Seiver warned that we would be calling the clock shortly.

"Okay, I'm folding an eight," said Kerkaert as he mucked his hand. "Were you going to take a card?"

Obst remained muted with Kerkaert starting to lament his decision.

Negreanu Soars After Eliminating Kerbel

Max Kruse called in the hijack while Jay Kerbel called on the button. Daniel Negreanu came along in the small blind and Lawrence Berg checked his option in the big blind.

The flop rolled out K48 and Negreanu lead out for 2,500, folding out Berg while Kruse called. Kerbel raised to 15,000, prompting Negreanu to raise to 52,500. Kruse folded and Kerbel called.

On the turn A, Negreanu moved all in for 23,000 effective.

"That was a terrible card for me, but I'm still calling," said Kerbel as he put in the chips.

Kerbel was leading with his two pair against Negreanu's flush draw, but the river 3 put Negreanu out in front making the nut flush and an eight-perfect low to scoop Kerbel and soar up the counts.

Ofir Mor raised to 3,000 from the hijack before Blaz Zerjav jammed for around 15,000 from the cutoff. Paul Holder raised on the button, which folded out Mor.

Zerjav and Holder drew one, discarding a 6x and 2x respectively.

Zerjav and Holder tabled their four cards, Zerjav had 8x7x6x4x while Holder was drawing to a wheel with 7x5x3x2x.

Holder turned his fifth card over first, revealing a 7x to pair up. Zerjav just need to fade an eight and he did so, catching a 2x to make an eight-seven to collect the pot.

Jay Kerbel raised to 3,000 from under the gun and on the button Lawrence Berg called while Kyle Andrews called in the big blind.

Andrews drew two, Kerbel drew one, and Berg drew two. Andrews checked over to Kerbel who bet 10,000 which only Andrews called.

Kerbel sighed and shrugged his hands in defeat while Andrews turned over AQQQ8 for three queens.

"A game for the people by the people," said Arthur Morris as the game plaque changed to PLO. He raised to 3,500 from the cutoff and saw Christopher Roman and Ryan Leng call from the blinds.

Roman led out for 11,500 on the 874 flop and Leng was the only caller.

Roman continued for 35,000 on the J turn and Leng snap-folded and showed he had Jx8x7x7x.
