The Kassouf Show Will Go A Little Longer

Michael Garner moved all in from middle position as the table folded around to Will Kassouf in the big blind who (uncharacteristically) snap-called for 2,550,000.

Kassouf needed to survive the coin flip to stay alive, and he found an ace on the A♥J♣5♣ flop to take the lead. The turn was the 5♠, while Kassouf ended up with two pair on the K♣ river to earn the double up and knock Garner down to an extreme short stack.

"If I have a Red Bull or coffee, in half an hour this table is finished," Kassouf said as he called out for cocktails.

Lautaro Guerra started the action with an under-the-gun raise to 600,000 and picked up two calls, Michael Mizrachi in the hijack and Kohei Arai in the big blind.

Arai checked the 8♥8♣4♦ flop, and Guerra continued for 500,000, which Mizrachi called. With the action back to Arai, he check-raised to 1,800,000, and Guerra made the call, while Mizrachi folded.

Both players checked the 9♥ turn.

On the A♠ river, Arai led out with a hefty bet of 3,200,000 million, which made Guerra go into the tank, but after a few minutes, he folded, giving up the sizable pot to Arai.

Afriat Continues to Slide

Eric Afriat raised to 650,000 on the button and Tony Gregg called from the big blind. The flop came J♦4♥3♠ and Gregg check-called a bet of 450,000 from Afriat.

The turn brought the 10♠ and Gregg checked again. Afriat sized up a bet of 1,500,000 and Gregg stuck around for the 5♠ on the river. Gregg checked for the third time and Afriat gave it some thought but checked it back. Gregg turned over 7♠7♣ and Afriat clenched his teeth as he slowly slid his cards to the muck.

Nick Pupillo raised to 600,000 on the right hand feature table and Luka Bojovic three-bet to 1,800,000 out of the small blind. It folded back to Pupillo and he pushed all-in for 6,200,000 to get snap-called by Bojovic.

The dominated pocket pair found no help on the A♥5♠2♥J♦8♥ runout and Pupillo was sent to the rail in 42nd place for $240,000.

"Everybody is Steaming"; Szwarberg Checks Down an Ace Against Hallaert as the Table Erupts at Kassouf Again

Tomas Szwarcberg raised to 650,000 under the gun, and Kenny Hallaert called in early position with the 6♠6♦.

While the two players headed off to the flop, Will Kassouf got into another heated discussion with the floor right by the table. Szwarcberg eventually told him to leave while he was involved in a hand.

"Cocktails! Eight bottles of water. Everybody is steaming," Kassouf yelled out.

Szwarcberg and Hallaert checked down the A♠8♠5♥Q♦5♠ board, and Szwarcberg turned over A♦10♦ to take the pot. Kassouf was then pulled away from the table by tournament officials yet again.

Dombrowski Not Impressed by Mizrachi

Chris Dombrowski kicked things off in the cutoff and raised to 625,000, prompting calls from Leo Margets in the small blind and Michael Mizrachi in the big blind.

All three players opted to check the 8♣A♦J♠ flop.

Mizrachi led with a bet of 800,000 on the 9♣ turn, and Dombrowski was the only one who stuck around.

On the 10♠ river, Mizrachi slowed down and checked Dombrowski, who fired a bet of 2,600,000. Mizrachi took a moment before mucking his cards.

Diego Ponce raised to 600,000 and Richard Freitas defended his big blind to the A♦Q♣5♥ flop. Once the Brazilian checked, Ponce bet 500,000 and Freitas called as they headed to the 4♠ on the turn. Freitas checked and a second barrel by Ponce did the trick to win the pot right there.

In a limped battle of the blinds to the 9♣8♠6♣ flop, Richard Freitas checked and called a bet of 450,000 by Sergio Veloso with the 10♥9♦ for the top pair and gutshot. The 8♦ on the turn was checked by both and that led them to the 10♣ on the river. Freitas bet 350,000 to earn a call and Veloso was ready to muck already before he was shown the J♣4♣ for a flush by Freitas.

Voegele Beats Buhaiov into the Pot

Nazar Buhaiov opened to 600,000 from the button and Octavian Voegele defended his big blind.

Voegele check-called for 500,000 on the 9♠8♠7♥ flop, before the 8♣ turn checked through to the 10♣ river.

Voegele led out for 800,000 and snap-called Buhaiov's raise, even before the dealer could announce the bet size.

Buhaiov had J♦6♦ for a jack-high straight but Voegele had Q♥J♣ for the nut-straight.

Daehyung Lee opened from middle position to 600,000 and when the action got to Johan Schumacher in the big blind, he shoved for around 4,000,000. Lee quickly called.

Schumacher had to win a flip to remain in the Main Event, and probably felt a bit nervous after seeing the 4♠8♥J♠ flop give Lee the nut-flush draw.

A 7♦ on the turn was a brick for Schumacher and left him one card away from a double-up, but the K♦ on the river was a dagger in the heart as Lee paired his king.
