Buhaiov Forces a Laydown from Voegele

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Nazar Buhaiov opened to 500,000 in middle position and Octavian Voegele three-bet to 1,600,000 in the cutoff. Buhaiov called and the flop of Q42 hit the felt.

Buhaiov check-called a bet of 800,000 from Voegele and the 3 landed on the turn. Both players checked and the Q paired the board on the river. Buhaiov counted out a bet of 4,000,000 and Voegele gave it some thought before dumping his cards in the muck.

Power Gets Value From Pupillo... With King-High

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Nick Pupillo raised to 550,000 on the button with the Q10 and Chad Power called in the big blind.

Pupillo continued for 500,000 on the A88 flop and Power called. Both players then checked the J turn.

The river was the A, and Power led out for 600,000. Pupillo called and Power showed K10 for the two-pair on the board with a king-kicker that was enough to win the pot.

Dombrowski's River All-In Prompts Folds

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Michael Mizrachi kicked things off in middle position and raised to 550,000, and two players stuck around to see the flop.

On the 7J3 flop, Chris Dombrowski, the big blind, checked. Mizrachi continued for 375,00,0 and both Daniel Iachan and Dombrowski made the call.

Mizrachi fired another bet of 1,500,000 on the 2 turn, Iachan and Dombrowski called.

When the 10 on the river appeared, Dombrowski went all in, prompting two quick folds from his opponents.

The flop came 972 and Freitas bet 350,000. Ponce called and both players checked on the 4 turn.

Ramon Pessoa Eliminated in 45th Place ($200,000)

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Ramon Pessoa
Ramon Pessoa

Ruben Correia made it 500,000 to go from early position and Ramon Pessoa three-bet to 2,75,000 on the button, leaving himself 100,000 behind. Correia quickly shoved, and after having the clock called on him, Pessoa called.

Ramon Pessoa: 1010 All in
Ruben Correia: AQ

"Give me a queen," shouted Correia.

Correia didn't flop a queen, but got something almost as good as the 7J7 board gave him a flush draw. The 8 on the turn completed that flush, which left Pessoa with just four outs to boat up. Instead, the A river hit the felt, and Pessoa fell in 45th, missing the pay jump.

Updated Counts on Table 638

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Hallaert Beats Kassouf in a Long Showdown

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Kenny Hallaert raised to 550,000 in the cutoff with 75 and Giovanni Pupo on the button moved all-in to force folds all around with his AJ.

Hallaert opened to 550,000 in the next hand and Will Kassouf had been dancing behind his chair for a while until it was his turn to act. He was still standing when he made the call on the button and then double-checked his cards before they headed to the AQ3 flop.

Hallaert continued for 500,000 and Kassouf leaned back and forth to look at the tournament screen while they were on a pay jump before checking his cards once more. The reluctant call led them to the 8 turn on which Kassouf was staring at Hallaert while being the only player standing at the secondary feature table, awaiting the next move of the chip leader.

Hallaert checked and Kassouf kept staring at him for a good minute, glanced back again to the screen which showed 45 players left and then knuckled it back to the K on the river. Hallaert then checked the second street in a row and Kassouf checked back to get shown the K10 by Hallaert, exposing his QJ for an inferior pair.

After the hand was over, a tournament floor came over to the table to talk to Kassouf, presumably about him standing throughout the hand.

Mizrachi Can't Bluff Guerra

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Joshua Beckenstein opened in early position with a raise to 500,000 and picked up calls from Lautaro Guerra in middle position and Michael Mizrachi in the big blind.

On the 4Q4 flop, action was checked to Guerra, who bet 550,000, and only Mizrachi stuck around to see the 2 turn.

This time, it was Mizrachi who led out a bet of 950,000, and Guerra made the call.

Both players checked down the 3 turn, leading to a showdown, and Guerra showed 1010 for two pair tens and sevens, which was enough to drag in the pot

Perati Getting Active as Players Guess His Age

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Muhamet Perati
Muhamet Perati

Muhamet Perati was involved in multiple pots over a short period of time.

First, Ihab Ali limped in from early position and Octavian Voegele called in the cutoff. Perati checked his option in the big blind.

On the 3J8 flop, Perati and Ali checked, then Voegele fired 500,000. Perati called and Ali folded.

Both checked the K turn to the 2 river, where Perati bet 600,000. Voegele raised to 3,000,000, and within a minute, Perati called.

Voegele showed A9 for the nut flush to scoop the pot.

Not long after, John Wasnock made it 625,000 to go from early position and Perati three-bet the button to 1,700,000. Wasnock called.

The flop came Q610 and both checked to the A turn. Wasnock checked, Perati bet 1,200,000, and Wasnock folded.

Directly after that, Braxton Dunaway raised the hijack to 600,000 and Perati called in the cutoff.

Both saw the K93 flop hit the felt where Dunaway check-called a bet of 1,000,000 from Perati.

The 6 turn checked through to the 7 river, where Dunaway bet 3,500,000. Perati took his time but eventually settled on a fold.

During the next shuffle, the players were trying to guess the age of Perati.

"I think 51. I'm basing that on how he plays poker," said Voegele.

Perati then admitted that he was 44, much to the surprise of Dunaway.

"You're 44?! You're almost the same age as me. What did you do to your hair?" joked Dunaway, in reference to the grey color (or lack of it) of Perati's hair. Perati laughed it off and continued in the next hand, still with a very comfortable stack.

Schumacher Doubles Through Schulze

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Johan Schumacher
Johan Schumacher

Johan Schumacher opened to 500,000 from the hijack and Sebastian Schulze called from the big blind. The flop came 1076 and Schulze checked to Schumacher who bet 750,000. Schulze check-raised to 2,400,000 and Schumacher ripped all in for 4,775,000 after a couple of minutes. Schulze quickly called and the cards were face up.

Johan Schumacher: JJAll in
Sebastian Schulze: K10

Schulze flopped top pair but it was no match for the overpair of Schulze. The 4 and A runout changed nothing and Schumacher held on for a key double up.
