Afriat Puts in a Five-Bet

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Richard Freitas raised to 400,000 in middle position and Eric Afriat three-bet to 900,000 in the hijack with A10. Diego Ponce then four-bet to 3,100,000 in the big blind.

Freitas got out of the way, but Afriat put in a five-bet to 6,900,000. Ponce tanked for a few minutes but eventually gave up KQ.

Lee Turns Trips

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Nadav Barash made it 400,000 to go from middle position and Daehyung Lee defended his big blind.

On the KA2 flop, Lee checked and Barash made a continuation-bet of 350,000. Lee stuck in a check-raise to 1,100,000. and Barash quickly called.

The A on the turn paired the board and without much hesitation, Lee bet 1,500,000. Barash went into the tank for around a minute, but eventually settled on a fold. Lee flashed the A for trips as he pulled in the pot.

Iachan Wins Four-Bet Pot Versus Vecino

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Juan Carlos Vecino raised to 400,000 in late position and Daniel Iachan three-bet to 1,400,000 one seat over in the hijack. The action folded back to Vecino and he four-bet to 2,900,000. After some consideration, Iachan called and they headed to the 1098 flop.

With 6,300,000 in the middle, Vecino checked and Iachan bet 3,100,000 to force out the Spaniard.

Albert Calderon Eliminated in 51st Place ($200,000)

Joey Padron opened to 450,000 from middle position and Albert Calderon called from the button.

Padron continued for 300,000 on the 875 flop. Calderon bumped it up to 1,100,000 and Padron called.

Padron checked when the 4 came into play, prompting Calderon to jam for 4,575,000. After receiving a count, Padron called.

Calderon was ahead with a set, but needed to dodge Padron's flush draw to stay alive.

The dealer put out the K river, causing Calderon to flinch in his seat as he was eliminated in 51st place.

With the end of the hand, Will Kassouf's one round penalty had also ended.

Afriat Surrenders to Bojovic's Second Bullet; Bojovic Then Shoves

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Luka Bojovic raised to 400,000 on the button and Eric Afriat called in the big blind.

The flop came AKQ and Bojovic bet 550,000. Afriat called and the 5 fell on the turn.

Bojovic then bet 1,075,000 and Afriat looked over at his opponent and tapped the felt in mock surrender as he slid his cards back to the dealer.

The next hand, Bojovic again opened to 400,000 in the cutoff and Richard Freitas called in the cutoff. Afriat then three-bet to 1,500,000 in the small blind and Bojovic came back with an all-in shove for 7,600,000.

Freitas quickly folded, and Afriat also gave up his hand once again as Bojovic took down another pot.

Lautaro Guerra opened the action in the hijack with AJ and a raise to 400,000, and Greg Merson in the big blind made the call with 86.

The flop came down 38Q, and Guerra continued for what Merson had left, putting him at risk, and Merson made the call.

Merson was ahead with his pair of eights, but the J turn changed that quickly as Guerra made a pair of jacks. The 9 didn't change anything, sending Merson to the rail.

Yuchen Chen Eliminated in 53rd Place ($200,000)

Yuchen Chen opened to 400,000 in early position and Braxton Dunaway three-bet to 1,200,000 in the cutoff. Chen responded with a four-bet shove all in for 2,800,000. Dunaway snapped him off and the cards were on their backs.

The flop came 543 and Dunaway was in firm control with his pocket aces. The 9 on the turn and the J on the river bricked out for Chen who was eliminated.

Lee Gets Value with Nines

Daehyung Lee raised to 400,000 in early position and Nadav Barash reraised to 1,000,000 on the button. Lee called and they went heads-up to a flop of J63. Lee checked to Barash who continued with a bet of 700,000 and Lee called.

The J paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the J on the river. Lee led out with a bet of 1,000,000 and Barash looked him up. Lee flipped over 99 and Barash knuckled the table to concede the pot.

Ponce Keeps Climbing After a Three-Bet

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Richard Freitas raised to 400,000 in early position before Diego Ponce three-bet to 1,225,000 on the button. Freitas called, and they went heads-up to the K108 flop.

Ponce then bet 1,000,000, and that chased away Freitas as Ponce took down another pot

Arai Doubles Through Merson

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Greg Merson limped in from under the gun holding AQ, and the action folded around to Kohei Arai in the hijack. With just 2,500,000 behind, Arai moved all in holding 77, and Merson made the call.

Arai was ahead with his pocket sevens, and the 63J flop kept him in front and also gave him a flush draw. The 9 turn was also safe, but the A river paired Merson, only to complete Arai's flush.

What looked like a brutal beat for Arai turned into a much-needed double-up.
