Nick Schulman, in his first year of eligibility, reached the pinnacle of his industry on Friday when he was revealed as the 2025 Poker Hall of Fame inductee.
The 40-year-old pool shark-turned poker pro from New York won his seventh World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet this summer, and was honored during a ceremony at Horseshoe Las Vegas on Day 1 of Event #92: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty.
Allen Kessler earned himself a nice chunk of change after winning a prop bet against Shaun Deeb on how large the T.O.R.S.E field would be.
So far, the inaugural event has drawn 276 entrants with late registration still open for another six hours.
2-7 Triple Draw
Stephen O'Dwyer raised first to act and was called by Peter Rouviere in the cutoff. Allen Kessler made it three bets to go from the big blind and both O'Dwyer and Rouviere called.
Everyone drew two on the first draw and Kessler checked to O'Dwyer, who bet. Rouviere and Kessler both called.
On the second draw, Kessler and Rouviere drew two again while O'Dwyer stood pat. Rouviere and Kessler again called a bet from O'Dwyer.
Kessler and Rouviere reduced their draw to one on the final draw and O'Dwyer remained pat. Action checked through and Kessler revealed he drew to a queen. O'Dwyer turned over 9x8x7x4x3x and Rouveire showed he drew to an ace-low — awarding the pot to O'Dwyer.

Michael Jarmark raised from the hijack and was called by Matthew Schultz in the small blind and Jeremiah Callahan in the big blind.
Schultz and Callahan check-called a bet from Jarmark on the 3♣A♣2♦ flop and it was checked to Jarmark again on the Q♠ turn. He bet and only Callahan called.
The J♦ completed the board and Callahan led out for a bet. Jarmark didn't like it and tanked a while before opting to call.
Callahan revealed K♥10♥6♣5♠ for a straight with a six-low and Jarmark showed A♠Q♥6♦5♥ for the same low with an inferior high for a small rebate.
