Brutal River Ends Ozawa's Run

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Thomas Calzone
Thomas Calzone

Thomas Calzone from the small blind and Caio Ozawa from the cutoff went heads-up to the turn with 6,000 in the middle and the board reading KJ78.

Calzone checked to Ozawa who announced a bet of 4,000, before Calzone quickly check-raised to 10,000. Ozawa then three-bet the turn to 21,200 with 26,100 behind. Calzone weighed his options before he asked for the rest of Ozawa's chips as the covering stack, and Ozawa snapped it off for 47,300 total.

Caio Ozawa: 109 All in
Thomas Calzone: JJ

Ozawa had turned the nut straight against Calzone's flopped set of jacks. However, the script was flipped after the dealer peeled off the 7 on the river, giving Calzone a full house, and sending Ozawa to the rail in brutal fashion as his Main Event dream will have to wait another year.
