McCarty Best in Strange River Spot

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Three-way to the A8107 turn, it checked to Joshua Shapiro in the cutoff, who bet 3,500 into the pot of 13,000. Marcus McCarty called in the small blind, and Edi Neacsu followed suit under the gun.

McCarty checked in flow on the 5 turn, but Neacsu led out for 4,000. Shapiro then raised to 9,000, which McCarty called cold. Neacsu also called after some debate, and all hands were tabled.

Shapiro had a straight with J9. McCarty had rivered a flush with QJ, taking down the pot as Neacsu's 76 only made a lower flush.
