Christian van Doellen opened to 2,400 from the cutoff. Kyle Messner called out of the small blind, and Edward Mehnert joined with a call from the big blind.

All three players checked the 9♣8♠8♣ flop to bring the Q♣ turn. Messner checked before Mehnert bet 2,700. The wager was called by van Doellen. Messner took his stack of chips and slammed them towards the middle to go all-in for approximately 26,000. Mehnert and van Doellen folded to award the pot to Messner.

"I'm just trying to make dinner break, so I can brag to my wife," said Messner after he collected the chips.
