Richard Mullen opened to 6,000 from middle position before Phil Hellmuth three-bet to 26,000 in the cutoff, and Mullen called.

On the 753 flop, Mullen checked and Hellmuth immediately checked behind.

Mullen led for 18,000 on the 2 turn and Hellmuth called quickly.

The river brought the 2 as Mullen put out a bet of 44,000. This street, Hellmuth took some time before he cut out calling chips and tossed them into the middle. Mullen tabled 99 for the winner.

"Wow!" a stunned Hellmuth reacted, "Great bet."

"I still wanna play with you every day, but you won the max."

"The Poker Brat" continued to switch between insults and compliments for the next few minutes.

"He overplays so many hands, but he got the max this time," he continued, "Not many people in this tournament would get that much."

Hellmuth then muttered various expletives under his breath for a while before he flipped the switch again, "This is one of those where you just have to give a compliment."

Two hands later, it seemed that Hellmuth had finally moved on from his stay at the Value Town, courtesy of Mullen.

At another table in the same room, his son Phil Hellmuth III was eliminated, ending the Main Event dream for him and his investors.
