Long Story Short
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jacob Long raised to 6,500 in the hijack and was three-bet to 21,000 by Alban Juen in the small blind, which Long called. On the J♦10♣8♠ flop, Juen continued for 16,000 and Long folded.
"Not a good flop?" Juen asked.
Long replied, "I had a good hand to four-bet with, but didn't want to do it again."
One orbit later, Long min-raised to 6,000 on the button, and Hossein Ensan called from the big blind. They checked the Q♦8♣7♣ flop to the 4♥ turn, on which Ensan's bet of 8,000 was called. Both checked through the 7♠ river, and Ensan declared king-high, which Long had beaten with the A♥5♦.
