Stanton Has a Dream Start

On the first hand of the day, four players went to a flop of 10♦5♥6♦, where Steven Stanton bet 135,000 from middle position. Assaph Aharoni called on the button, while Martijn Kiers announced a raise but only put in 250,000. The dealer made him make it at least 270,000, and Stanton called.
Aharoni tanked for several minutes, but he eventually folded, leaving Kiers and Stanton heads-up going to the J♠ turn. Kiers then moved all in for 350,000, and Stanton snap-called. Kiers showed 6♥6♠ for a set, while Stanton had A♦K♦ for the nut flush draw and gutshot to Broadway.
The Q♦ fell on the river to give Stanton the nut flush, and Kiers was sent to the rail. "Hell of a first hand," Stanton said.
