Asher Asks to Use a Lifeline
Level 21
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Kenneth Asher and Mads Wissing built a pot of around 500,000 as they went to a flop of A♦10♥7♦. Asher then bet 130,000 from the hijack, and Wissing called in middle position.
Both players checked the 10♠ turn, and the 8♦ fell on the river. Wissing then led out for 380,000.
Asher took off his sunglasses and flashed a smile over at Wissing as he went deep into the tank for a few minutes. "I'm going to need some help," he said.
"Like phone a friend?" tablemate Brian Roelke added.
"Well, I got a neighbor," Asher replied, pointing to Artur Martirosian right beside him. He eventually folded, and Wissing took the pot.
"I'm probably never going to see him again. I'm not a professional, obviously," Asher said.
