Kornegay Rates the Dealer While Sare Tanks
Brock Wilson raised to 55,000 from under the gun, and Christian Sare three-bet to 115,000 from the button. Jason Kornegay cold-called from the small blind, and Wilson also came along.
All three players checked the 2♦A♠6♦ flop before the 5♠ landed on the turn. The action checked to Sare, who fired a delayed continuation-bet of 80,000. Kornegay called, while Wilson folded.
The 3♠ completed the board, and Kornegay suddenly piled in enough chips to put Sare all in for his remaining 300,000 or so.
As Sare pondered, Kornegay provided one of the more unusual acts of the day. He pulled out his phone, tapped away for a few moments, then proudly showed the dealer that he had just given her the highest possible rating for her performance at the table.
The unique move drew laughs all around, including from Sare, who was still trying to figure out the hand. Meanwhile, She Wong had no complaints about the lengthy tank, sitting with fewer than four big blinds and watching another pay jump creep ever closer. He said to Sare, "Take your time, it's okay"
Eventually, the clock was called. With the countdown ticking away, Sare elected to fold, flashing an ace as his cards hit the muck.
Kornegay then peeled over just the 4♠ as the pot was pushed in his direction.
