Hays Finds a Set to Bust Shathaya; Soika Picks Off Campins
Antonin Hays raised to 100,000 in early position and Justin Manjares called in middle position. Sinan Shathaya then moved all in for 1,200,000 on the button and Hays called, while Manjares got out of the way.
Sinan Shathaya: A♣Q♦
Antonin Hays: 10♣10♦
Hays remained in the lead with his pair on the J♦8♠3♠ flop, while the 10♥ turn improved him to a set. Shathaya needed to complete a straight draw on the river to survive, but he missed the 7♣ and was sent to the rail.
At another table, Felipe Campins and Ihar Soika were heads-up on a board of 5♥3♦Q♠8♣J♥ when Soika bet 420,000 from the hijack. Campins then moved all in for 2,100,000 in early position, and Soika took a few minutes before calling.
Campins turned over A♥K♠ for ace-high, while Soika had rivered a set with J♦J♣ to win the big pot and eliminate Campins.
