Savas is a Scary Guy

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Daniel Savas
Daniel Savas

Daniel Savas opened to 800,000 from the cutoff, and action folded to Rami Hammoud, who was in the big blind.

"You scare me bro," Hammoud told Savas.

"Thank you," Savas replied.

Hammoud made a, "reluctant call," and the two players headed to the 842 flop. Hammoud check-raised to 2,400,000 over a bet of 800,000, and Savas beat Hammoud to the pot with his calling chips. The Q checked through to the A river, where Hammoud checked. Savas bet 2,000,000 and Hammoud folded after the dealer told him he couldn't change the river card.

On the next deal, Jamie Shaevel opened to 800,000 from the button but folded when Hammoud jammed as the big stack from the small blind.

The following hand, Romain Lewis opened to 800,000 from under the gun, and called when Savas made it 1,600,000 on his direct left.

Lewis checked the 972 flop and Savas bet 1,000,000. Lewis made it 2,500,000, only for Savas to snap-jam as the bigger stack. Lewis still had 20,100,000 behind, and immediately took off his sunglasses. A big exhale followed, and Lewis' mouth remained ajar as he used up several of six time banks.

"I didn't expect that," said Lewis, as he burrowed his face into his hands repeatedly. A couple more time banks were used before Lewis settled on a fold.
