Blackwood Backs Down to Vandenberge's Back-Shove

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Kyna England raised to 800 from middle position and was called by Thomas Vandenberge in the hijack and Daniel Ruttenberg on the button. Gary Blackwood then squeezed to 3,700 from the big blind, which got a fold from England, but a shove from Vandenberge for a bit under 50,000.

Ruttenberg got out of the way, and Blackwood asked for a count before sending his cards into the muck as well.

"Would you have called if it wasn't a freezeout?" tablemate Cassandra Yong asked from across the table.

"Gazzy too poor!" England joked.

Kicker Issues

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Ivan Govorov raised to 700 in early position, which Zowie Estrada called one seat to his left, and the big blind came along as well.

Govorov continued for 1,000 on an A109 flop, which Estrada called, before the big blind check-folded.

There was no slowing down on the 4 turn, as Govorov bet another 2,100. Undeterred, Estrada called once again.

The 7 river saw both players check, and when Govorov tabled his AJ, Estrada flipped over the A before tossing his cards into the muck.

With 6,000 in the pot on a board of 8310, Steven Dobrofsky checked from under the gun, and Rute Jin fired 3,000 from middle position. Dobrofsky called.

The K landed on the turn, and Dobrofsky checked again. Jin barreled for a second time, this time for 9,000, and that was enough to get Dobrofsky to fold.

No Showdown for Toledo

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Harold Evans opened to 700 from the hijack. Delmiro Toledo made the call from the cutoff, and David Litvinoff came along with a call out of the small blind.

Everyone passed on the 299 flop, which brought the 3 turn.

Litvinoff checked before Evans wagered 1,500. Toledo called, while Litvinoff got out with a fold.

The A river resulted in a check from Evans. Toledo put out a red chip for a bet of 5,000. Evans wasn't interested as he folded to yield the pot to Toledo.

Meman Asks for More from McDougall

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Anzhela Vasylenko opened to 700 from under the gun, and Ruman Meman three-bet to 2,000 from the hijack. Joshua McDougall called on the button, and Vasylenko topped up her chips to call.

The K65 flop was dealt and action checked to McDougall, who bet 2,000. Vasylenko folded, but Meman stuck around to see the turn card.

A J prompted Meman to check to McDougall, who bet 5,500. Meman tanked before raising to 11,000. McDougall made a relatively swift call, and the 4 completed the board on the river.

Both made quick checks to showdown, with Meman turning over his 87 for the flush, which he made on the turn. McDougall opted not to show his hand and pushed it into the muck.

Hugo Jimenez raised to 700 on the button, which only Michael Kiley called in the small blind.

Kiley opted to lead out for 1,000 on the K73 flop, which Jimenez called, and it was the same story on the 2 turn: Kiley led out for 1,000, and Jimenez called again.

Kiley sized up to 2,000 on the 7 river, and when Jimenez called again, Kiley tabled 99 and Jimenez mucked his cards.

King-High Good For Dulepa

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Luka Bojovic opened to 700 from the cutoff before Galen Hall called on the button. Vincento Dulepa joined the fray with a call from the big blind.

All three players checked the 10A10 flop to bring the 9 turn.

Dulepa led out for 600. Bojovic called before Hall bowed out with a fold.

The 5 river resulted in a pair of checks to go to a showdown.

Dulepa tabled K6 for a missed flush draw, but it was good nonetheless as Bojovic mucked his hand to award the pot to Dulepa.
