Vaughn Michaud
Vaughn Michaud

Vaughn Michaud opened from the hijack and Kai Nicholls called from the cutoff. Michael Wasserman three-bet to 12,000 and Michaud called. Nicholls moved all in for 44,200 and Wasserman folded. Michaud, who already had a healthy stack after returning from the break, snap called.

Kai Nicholls: AKAll in
Vaughn Michaud: 77

It was a classic flip, with Nicholls just behind in the race. He was hoping to pick up but the 95J didn't bring much to work with. The 4 turn and 8 river saw to his elimination and Michaud scooped the pot, putting him as the chip leader in the second level of the Main Event Day 2abc.

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Hui Wang opened to 2,000 under the gun before Pablo Iparraguirre jammed for 13,600 on his direct left. On the button, Frederic Normand min-four-bet, and Wang got out of the way.

Pablo Iparraguirre: 1010 All in
Frederic Normand: AK

It was a coinflip scenario as the J62 flop kept Iparraguirre in the lead, but Normand picked up some backdoor draws. However, nothing materialized on the 2J runout, and Iparraguirre's tens remained best to secure the double.
