Gjini Runs Into Colada's Bullets

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Pashk Gjini raised to 2,400 from early position, and Jose Colada instantly three-bet from the next seat. When the action got back to Gjini, he jammed for around 35,000, and Colada called.

Pashk Gjini: QQ All in
Jose Colada: AA

Both players picked up premium pocket pairs, but Colada's pocket rockets left Gjini with one foot out the door.

The 355710 runout offered no help to Gjini, who wished the table good luck before heading for the exit.

Comedian Kevin Pollak found himself sharing a table with Mark Newhouse and Benny Glaser. Another tablemate, Jinfeng Huo, then told Pollak it was her first time playing the Main Event.

"My deepest run was in my first one, too. That's how they get you," Pollak said.

Meanwhile, Joao Matos raised to 3,000 on the button and Glaser shoved from the big blind. Matos called for his last 30,000.

Joao Matos: A9 All in
Benny Glaser: 88

Matos took the lead on the 79J flop with a pair, and the J fell on the turn. The river, though, brought the 8 to give Glaser a full house, and Matos was sent to the rail.
