Lee Shows One

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a three-way, three-bet pot to the 482 flop, Phillip Lee and Alexander Rauch checked from middle position. Vincent Masino then bet 8,000 in the cutoff, which Lee raised to 18,000.

Two folds followed, and Lee allowed his opponent to pick one of his cards to show.

When the A was tabled, Lee claimed the other card was another ace.

Sylvia Shakes Off Buonanno

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 14,500 in the pot, Jesse Sylvia checked from the hijack over to Antonio Buonanno on the button on a 4J2 flop. Buonanno added 4,500 to the pot, but promptly had a decision to make, as Sylvia check-raised to 12,500. Buonanno took his time before opting to find a better spot, and returned his cards to the dealer.

Vellanki Flips His Way to Survival

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

David Damone raised to 2,000 from the hijack, and Bharath Vellanki, sitting on his left, three-bet to 7,000. Jerome Theriault four-bet jammed from the big blind for about 60,000. Only Vellanki called, putting himself at risk with around 31,000 behind.

Bharath Vellanki: 88 All in
Jerome Theriault: AK

It was a flip, and Vellanki had his phone out ready to film what could have been his final hand in this year's Main Event.

It wasn't his time to go just yet, though, as the 75254 runout kept Vellanki's pair of eights in front all the way, earning him a double through Theriault.

Agarwal’s Stack Was Big Enough to Keep Playing

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

At Table 575, Seat 3 holds a stack of 221,000, but its owner, Amit Agarwal, has decided to leave the tournament.

According to his X account, Agarwal started the day with 114,000 and built his stack to around 240,000 within the first hour of play. Satisfied with his progress, he headed to another casino and put $40 into a Limit Hold’em cash game.

“Apparently he did the same thing on Day 1,” one of his tablemates said. “We should send him a message to let him know the table misses him,” another player joked.
