Heads-up on a flop of K♦10♣J♠, Ryan Feldman checked from middle position and called a 3,600 bet from Virgile Turchi, who was in the hijack.
Feldman check-called an 8,200 bet from Turchi on the 7♥ turn and checked a final time after the 2♠ completed the board.
Turchi bet enough to put Feldman all in for his last 35,000, sending Feldman deep into the tank.
Feldman sat back in his seat and shook his head as he contemplated his decision, but eventually tossed in a reluctant call. Turchi showed A♠Q♠ for the flopped nuts and Feldman showed he held J♦10♥ for two pair to be eliminated.

Warren Li clashed with Carter Jones preflop as both players from early position put the chips in with Li at risk for 4,400.

Li was well behind, but the flop gave him some additional outs when it came 6♠J♣K♠ as he improved to a gutshot to go with his ace.
Li called for a queen, but it never came on the 9♦ turn and the 2♠ river to award the pot to Jones and extinguish Li's hopes of a comeback on Day 2d.

Shobu Oda opened from early position to 1,600 and was called by Harsukhpaul Sangha in the cutoff and Brian Landon and Thomas Floan, both in the blinds.
The dealer fanned a flop of 4♠6♠4♥ and everybody checked to Sangha who bet 1,800. Landon was the only one to check-call.
Both players checked the 9♥ turn leading to the 5♦ river which was checked by Landon. Sangha bet 8,500 and Landon quickly called with 7♥7♠. "Full house," Sangha said while flipping over 5♥5♠.

Matan Barkat made it 2,000 to play from under the gun and found a call from Matthew Gross in the next seat, Richard Dubini, sat in late position, then pumped it up with a three-bet to 8,600.
Barkat made the call and Gross got out of the way.
On the 8♠9♣J♣ flop the action went check check for the dealer to peel off the 4♠ as the turn.
Barkat led out for 13,500 and after a short tank Dubini released his hand and the pot was shipped to Barkat uncontested.

Ami Barer check-called the A♠8♣3♣ flop before he led the 6♦ turn for 5,700 in the blinds and Tyler Spaugh called. Barer then bet only 1,800 on the 10♦ river and Spaugh murmured "a little blocker bet?!" before he called a few seconds later. Barer tabled the 7♣5♣ for a missed double draw and Spaugh won the pot with his A♦5♦ for the top pair.

With a cutoff raise to 1,700 and a call on the button ahead of him, Landon Tice three-bet to 9,000 from the small blind.
The original raiser folded immediately, and shortly after, the button caller did the same, seeing Tice claim the pot uncontested.

On a flop of 8♥8♠5♣, Phachara Wongwichit checked and then called a bet worth 3,200 by Vijay Ramani on the button. They checked the 2♦ turn and 4♥ river and Wongwichit tabled his A♠10♠, which Ramani had beat holding the A♦5♦ for eights and fives.

Scott Davies got the action started with an open to 2,000 from early position. Scott Davies three-bet to 9,000 from the big blind before Davies made the call to stay in the pot.
The 5♠8♠K♣ flop was the end of the road as Muhr continued for 4,500. Davies did not think long before he folded as Muhr picked up a small pot.
